The history behind the Los Angeles Chargers name and logo and how it was created and the historical connection between USC Trojans football team in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Tommy Walker "aka" Tommy Trojan then USC trojans football team kicker/band member/musician and how his musical note that he created helped inspire then owner Barron Hilton to name the Los Angeles Chargers after the musical note/ Charge chant.

When Barron Hilton would attend the USC Trojans football team game’s at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and after the USC Trojans football team scored a touchdown Tommy Walker "aka" Tommy Trojan then team kicker/band member would run out on to the football field to attempt the extra point and the USC Trojans football team fan’s would yell out his musical note chant that he created
Da Da Da Da and then yell out Trojan warriors Charge!!!
Da Da Da Da Da Trojan warriors Charge!!!
And that’s where the Chargers name originated from and that’s what inspired Barron Hilton to name the Chargers from his "Charge" chant hence the battle Charger riding on a horse charging into battle with the Shield and armor with a sword very similar to the USC Trojan mascot riding a horse into battle with a sword.
The lightning bolt idea logo came from Barron Hilton liking the college team Air Force logo.

And also that "Charge" chant soon after caught on at other sporting events like at the Dodgers game’s and till this day that same "Charge" chant is heard throughout many sporting events everywhere.
Da Da Da Da Da Charge!!!
    Los Angeles Chargers! ⚡🏈
