(Extra blocking TE) Thomas Hernandez Gates Zeitler Flemming
I respect Solder’s decision and despite his less than usual play I thought he was an important component on the Oline Him starting at LT would allow Thomas to break in at RT while allowing Peart to develop.
Now Thomas is obviously the starting LT. Hernandez and Zeitler are locks at guard. Now only RT and C are up in the air. Fleming should have the edge though we are losing him as depth. He was a starter for the Pats Super Bowl run a couple of years ago. Gates has played well and it versatile so he is in the mix. Peart is physically gifted but needs some development. He’ll be valuable depth but needs some time to get coached up and gain experience; he’s likely our starting RT of the future.
Pulley played great in 2018 and frankly I was surprised when Halpio got the nod over him and we let G Jamon Brown go after 2018 when he fell in our laps. Of course we traded for Zetler but we could have easily kept Brown and focused on RT which has been a problem until seemingly now. Pulley likely has the edge but I am really intrigued with Shane Lemieux He isnt an athletic freak but he’s a hard worker with a non-stop motor and nasty streak; something we could use more of on this Oline. I think Hernandez and Lemieux can bring an attitude to this line which has tons of potential.
Should be some interesting battles. Even though the loss of Solder hurts I think it can finally be a good Oline and allow Jones and Saquon to flourish under Garrett’s offense. The Oline play and by extension Jones and Saquon’s play should be taken to another level and therefore a lot of points and success.
Likely depth chart:
Oline Starters:
Thomas-Hernandez-Pulley-Zeitler-Fleming
Depth: Peart-Gates-Lemiux
I would like to see Hernandez at center, could be a possible All Pro
To start the season I see Thomas, Hernandez, Pulley, Zeitler and Fleming. Will change with experience. Also disappointed the Solder contract just gets pushed back. He is now under contract until 2022. Love the man, not the player.
The Giants o line was terrible last year. Hopefully the draft picks can help!!!
Our run blocking need to improve. Pass blocking is good, Zelter 75.0 pass grade, Hernandez 72.5 pass grade, Gates 71.5 pass grade. Adding Thomas & Colombo will be a major boost.
The o line should be Thomas, Hernandez, pulley, Zietler, and peart
On September 3, the Giants will trade Deandre Baker, Will Hernandez and a 2022 3rd-round pick to the Cardinals in exchange for Mason Cole, Chandler Jones and a swap of 2021 1st-round picks. Andrew Thomas will start at left tackle, Shane Lemieux will start at left guard, Mason will start at center, Kevin Zeitler will start at right guard and Matt Peart will start at right tackle, so they will protect Daniel Jones.
Can’t wait for Big Blue to dominate
LT Thomas
LG Hernandez
C Lemieux
RG Peart
LT Gates
First dislike of The New York Giants video. YES! YES! YES!
Can’t wait to watch Hernandez and Thomas on the blind side

I’m curious how the offensive line can function without solder. But with youth on their side this offensive line might be able to help Jones and Barkley. This season cannot come any sooner. Let’s go Big Blue!
