Damien Williams’ future with the Chiefs is unclear after Kansas City drafted Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Williams has been linked to NFL Trade Rumors, but could also be a cut candidate if the Chiefs want to clear some cap space. Cutting Anthony Hitchens would save the Chiefs a lot of money as they can clear almost $8.5 million in cap space. Hitchens is a quality veteran, but is he worth the $12+ million he makes?
Eric Fisher dealt with injuries in 2018 which led to him missing 8 games. The Chiefs drafted Lucas Niang out of TCU who played RT in college, but can play LT as well. Releasing Fisher would save KC $9.25 million in cap space. The more likely scenario is cutting him after this season. Alex Okafor also had injuries last year as he finished the season on IR, but he had 5 sacks in 10 games. The Chiefs can save over $3 million in salary cap space if they decide to part ways with Okafor before the season starts. Daniel Sorensen and Damien Wilson are two other players KC could cut to clear cap space.
6 Salary Cap Cut Candidates for the Kansas City Chiefs:
Eric Fisher, LT
Damien Williams, RB
Alex Okafor, DE
Anthony Hitchens, LB
Damien Wilson, LB
Daniel Sorensen, DB

Y with how well he did in the playoffs we will keep him this year and then bye bye i think
Chiefs were 11-0 when Fisher was in the lineup.
Hitchens has to go. i don’t think any team would take clark, but I would start taking calls for him
Who should the Chiefs cut before the season?
Okafor could go; hitchens can go; gay is the man
Just a question. What about pay per view if fans are limited in stadiums. What would you pay
Not Damien Williams. Need that depth
Keep dirty Dan at all cost.
20/no/
21, Y, W, Anthony Hitchens
I would trade them for 2/3 round picks they have value now
cut chris jones
Okafor is the only one that has plenty of competition if he gets beat out so be it. The rest are starters.Depth is non existent at LB and secdary is thin pending suspension for Breeland. Hitch is starting unfortunately.
I’m not going to buy and KC Chiefs products due to the NFL stance with regards to BLM.
The Chiefs just sign this channel, has great coverage skills
I would say when you can replace him with another good ayer.
2020

12 more seasons!
I’d say all these guys should stay this year however next season a lot of these guys if not all I’m cool moving on
Your high as fuck Harrison… protect pat… we dont release any of our o-line till we have clear and valid replacements shouldn’t even be a thought
clyde edwards is like a marshall faulk
The fuck we talkin bought trying to get cap space we cut the hole team and we still can’t buy a lunchable
W
Fisher should have trade value next year right?
When should the Chiefs cut Eric Fisher? Type ’20’ for 2020 and ’21’ for 2021
( Release Anthony Hitchens ) –
Worst Free Agent Signing Of My Lifetime . . . . .
No Alex Okafor is awesome!
W
Cut Breeland slide Sneed in his spot
#chiefs hey Harrison I had an idea. By looking at mahomes contract I saw that he allowed 2020 to stay cheap so to me that means they want to go on a run in 2020. So I had 2 contract ideas for Chris Jones depending on the length he wants I prefer the five year deal but both are fine. So 4 years 84 mil so average 21 mil a year so 1st year 6 mil, 2nd year 16mil, 3rd year 26 mil, 4th 36 mil , other deal is 5 year 99 mil average 19.8 mil 1st year 6mil, 2nd 10 mil, 3rd 20mil, 4th 30mil, 5th 33 mil. Both offers leave a lot of money for 2020. Either deal would actually leave the chiefs with over 17 mil dollars in 2020 with a few restructures you could get up to 29 mil. I mean if you restructure honey badger and Eric fisher, and ldt, and tyreek and move 3 mil from this year to next year for each player you get there. So I would do that and then sign Logan Ryan to a 1 yr 13 mil , and Clowney to a 1 yr 16 mil which they both should take because they both want to go to a contender and clowney wants to reset his value. So to me Ryan hitting the market again after making good money this year and most likely winning a Super Bowl with this improved roster would boost his value and not to mention a Super Bowl ring. But clowney says he wants a 1 year deal with a top team where he can reset value too so this would let him increase his value because in spags system next to jones and Nandi and across from Clark and with Okafor rotating in he should skyrocket in sacks this year although next to jj watt wasn’t amazing I think it would be different in KC with this system and where really you couldn’t afford to double team him. He would also get the value boost by winning the super bowl and getting a ring. The only arguements I see against this are would Jones take the contract I think yes because he wants around 20 mil a year on a long term contract one is 19.8 almost 20 and one is 21 which is more than 20. Another one is would clowney and Ryan sign I think so clowney hasn’t gotten the offers he’s wanted and he way overestimated his market I think signing with the chiefs would really help him and Ryan didn’t get a ton of money from anyone so getting a ring and money instead of a little more money should be enough to reel him in. Another is if they would fit in in KC and I don’t see why not I mean Ryan a slot corner is a better version of a guy from last year and clowney is and edge rusher at a position where we don’t have a star at right now so why wouldn’t they fit. And final argument I see is will the chiefs win with this roster well if you compare it to last year we just improved I mean lb and hb got better in the draft, corner got worse because fuller left but Ryan is a better more experienced, also older but still it’s 1 year, version of fuller and clowney adds even more edge pressure to an already potent d line. Everybody else was retained and we signed our top guys to long term contracts. Barring major injuries I don’t see the chiefs not winning the Super Bowl.
Lol dat wuld be stupid trade D.Will. He know da system. Check out his post season stats. 💡
W
Williams and hitchens
Hitchens would have to restructure in my opinion. He’s so overpaid.
At 3:45 he said the chiefs are a team that runs the football a lot………..
Who is this mysterious identical team with the same chiefs logo, cause he’s not talking about kansas city. CAN’T BE!
Yes
W
Y
Fisher restructure + cut Hitchens = Jones new contracts
Keep Okafor
I think Big Red wants to keep the main core of guys and Damien is one of those.
CHIEFS KINGDOM!
#chiefs Redskins are changing name, what’s your thoughts?
W
I think Fish and Hitchens are on the roster in 2020, but locks to be cap casualties in 2021.
W: Cheaper, younger, not a drop off in production, easy decision. I like Anthony Hitchens, but at the end of the day, the NFL is a business. Damien Williams should definitely be on the team, but maybe not so much next year. Wait until next year to cut Fisher to give enough time for a legitimate replacement.
Drop hitchens, drop okafor, and if Niang works out then drop fisher next year
21
Cut Hitchens now. Keep Okafor, he balls out when healthy. Keep Williams and Fischer for this season then cut them. Gotta keep Dirty Dan!
Keep Williams cut fisher
