Celebrating the league’s 100th season and championing the women who have played an integral role in its history, NFL Films presents an unprecedented look at the history of professional football through the eyes of four iconic female owners: Chicago Bears’ Virginia McCaskey, Detroit Lions’ Martha Firestone Ford, Kansas City Chiefs’ Norma Hunt and Pittsburgh Steelers’ Patricia Rooney. Wow. I actually really enjoyed this video. I thought it would not be anything of note. But I watched every minute of it and it even got me a little emotional especially when Mrs. McCaskey and the Halas Family talked about Piccolo and Payton. This video was well-presented and showed real humanity including a nicer, more genuine side of Bill Belichick.

  5. James Z. Williams on March 8, 2020 at 9:29 pm

And now we have the owner of my team Mrs. Gayle Benson who not only inherited the Saints but also The pelicans. Unfortunately she didn’t grow up in football.
