    Gotta let Godwin go

Go all out. Next two seasons is the window. Don’t care if they have to burn down the place after that. Now that everyone knows this Brady experiment works, a lot of free agents would be looking to get on the ride.

When you look at the overthecap numbers you have to question whether it makes sense to pay Chris Godwin $20 million a season to play in this offense. 1. He isn’t considered the #1 receiver so he won’t get the majority of receiver targets. 2. The Bucs play more 12 and 13 personnel and will have anywhere from $12-22 million invested in their tight ends and the tight ends will get more targets in a Brady offense. 3. The Bucs have a lot of quality receiver depth with Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson who need to get more reps to keep growing 4. They can re-sign AB rather cheaply and they might also be able to sign Danny Amendola or Julian Edelman if he becomes a cap casualty. 5. Their cap is already weighted excessively towards the offense and the need money for shaq barrett and lavonte David. 6. Unlike receiver there is a significant dropoff from Shaq to Anthony Nelson and JPP is already 32. 7. If you free up more money you might be able to sign James White and potentially re-sign Leonard Fournette. I love Chris Godwin and think he could be a featured receiver catching 80 passes for 1400 yards, but I don’t see him having that kind of production with the way this offense has evolved and the way the roster is constructed. Even the tag takes up $16 million and you could get a bunch of veteran role players who will play at a discount to play with Brady with that money.

I got way more specific information on cap space from this podcast than the one w the Bucs GM.

I think that the Bucs are going to be an attractive team for FAs this offseason. What veteran, that wants to win a Ring, wouldn’t want to play for the defending Super Bowl Champion with the GOAT under center? The Bucs finally got themselves some pull in the "who do you really want to play for?" contest…

People on twitter claim Saints can restructure contracts and get back 100 mil. Same people say Bucs can’t get their players back.

    Back to back LFG

Shaquil Barrett has a huge impact because Buccaneers has super productions from Suh, JPP, … so it can be leverage to negotiate the contract. it will hard for him to have similar value in other teams

With that Lombardi Throphy catch Brate probably priced himself out of Tampa.

What are the chances Brady tells Gronk, I got ya don’t worry… $$$$

  18. BM F on May 19, 2021 at 2:18 am

Gronk got $10M this year on the last yr of his Pats contract…Brady only took $25M, so Brady was effectively paying Gronk…same in 2021(not $3M)

  19. James Taylor on May 19, 2021 at 2:22 am

The Bucs organization might need to use signing bonuses and backload the annual salary. PFF guy is right. If you have two more years with Brady then you keep your players and take a cap hit in 2023 when Brady likely retires.

I think it’s very highly likely that Shaq is gone and That really sucks but I just don’t see how they fit everybody in. I think they’re gonna have to make some tough cuts , Even just looking at the tight end position, they are paying a lot to Brate and Howard . I think one of them has to go for sure Gronk needs to be the priority along with all the other free agents Should take priority over carry all these tight ends .

  21. BM F on May 19, 2021 at 2:26 am

Cut Gholston and save $6M, cut either Howard or Brate for $6M, let Godwin and Barrett walk, sign Gronk, Brown, Suh, David…draft all defense…Brady’s superfriends will take care of the offense..pick up James White

  22. Kawe'a Akuna on May 19, 2021 at 2:27 am

JJ Watt? James White💥Fournette🖐Shaq? Godwin🖐Lavonte👍 Gronk is not going anywhere! AB? Larry Fitzgerald, Adrian Peterson. Veterans is the way to go!
