I feel like even most fans are drastically underrating Claypool.

We have an injury prone self-centered antique QB
that should be a back up helping to groom the next.
    Back-Up Ben

I hope Missy does more of this with Matt. He’s one of the best in football talk/analysis for podcasts. I was an immediate fan of The Drive with he and Dale.

Sorry. If you really wanted a RB you should have taken JK Dobbins when you had the chance. MacFarland is Ok, but just OK. Baltimore, Cleveland and Cincinnati, killed this draft. Steelers, MEH.

If Claypool is so great, why couldn’t he beat out Miles Boykin at ND? Boykin was the 93rd pick last year, with similar physical traits as Chase. I’m not bagging on Claypool – I’m asking Steelers fans to temper their expectations.

Terrible draft. This team keeps getting worse and worse. Why are you depending on old broken fat Ben? He looked horrible last season when he was “healthy” He’s robbing money from the franchise at this point. Should have cut him and gave cam newton a shot, at least you’d have a chance to be relevant, but now you probably wont even beat the bengals.

    Claypool is the next Megatron.

Forgive me my brothers and sisters of Steeler nation.
I blew a head gasket over the draft this past weekend. Some of you said I was on drugs, another told me to get a life. I’m just a passionate fan, to be quite honest I’m a die hard Buckeye fan who dreamed of JK Dobbins in the black and gold. However, as always during the Tomlin era it was the opposite. My only outlook now is we went from 9-7 to 8-8. Only two directions this is going . First, every move made in the draft is great all 6 picks contribute at a high level , Connor stays healthy, Benny Snell and Ju Ju have break out years. And the defense becomes the total best in the NFL. Second, The drafted players develop slowly to where they are backups, special teams and practice squad players. Offense Struggles to score and featured RB still in the air and for the first time in the Tomlin era The Steelers fall under 500. I’m sure all you guys have seen the schedule it’s a pretty tough one, their is no more in between. I’m praying for a good season for Steeler nation.

    Excited about this draft!

  15. Perry Ellis on June 25, 2020 at 11:22 pm

Claypool is a steal, he will be the best wr from this draft!!!
6’4 230 4.42 speed, and he has great hands and is physical.
Who is going to be able to cover him one on one in the NFL 🤔
This makes the offense dangerous again. Great pic by the Steelers!

  16. Perry Ellis on June 25, 2020 at 11:22 pm

Anthony McFarland aka Mr Electric is a playmaker!!! This guy reminds me of Thurman Thomas. He is the best over all talented rb in the draft because of his elusiveness and speed. He played at Maryland not a football powerhouse but he gave it to Ohio State, Michigan State, Rutgers and the whole big ten.
He will be a fan favorite!!!
Also he will have FB Derrek Watt blocking for him!!! Which will give him another Pathfinder to make a hole for him to explode thru!!

1:52 the Rockets don’t want a big Center tho

  18. Light Iverson on June 25, 2020 at 11:33 pm

It took 6 dudes to take down Claypool. We’re gonna love him. God please prevent injury against all these new young players entering the league. 🙏🏽

Our WR corps have to be the youngest in the NFL, our oldest WR is Switzer and he’s 25. I think that the next position we should focus on is Center and MLB.

    Steeler gang ✨

Solid draft. With the Steelers track record I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt that a fair amount of their picks will pan out. Look forward to seeing Chase Claypool out there next year to help the O.

I like this draft. But I can see why some people hate it. Jk dobbins, AJ Dillon, and Denzel Mims were still on the board. Some scouts had Dobbins as top 3 RB. But the need was WR and LB. and McFarland fell into Steelers lap at 4 round which was mind blowing.

    Steelers are bad go chiefs

  25. Perry Ellis on June 25, 2020 at 11:47 pm

Carlos Davis DT Nebraska is a traditional 3-4 nose tackle his strength is that he draws double teams , so he will allow the lb like Bush to make plays because he will attack the point of the offense which allows the linebackers to flow to the ball. This was a good value pick because Davis has a chance to get significant playing time and possibly start if he works hard and brings that fire.
He is not Casey Hampton as far as strength is concerned, but he will be a good dt for the 3-4 defense for the Steelers.

  26. Perry Ellis on June 25, 2020 at 11:47 pm

Alex Highsmith reminds me of Khali Mack coming out of college.
For those who can remember, Khali Mack came out of Buffalo not a powerhouse football program, but he was a athletic relentless pass rusher, Alex Highsmith is the same player.
The Steelers will find ways to play him especially in pass rush situations. This guy is a gonna be a all pro, and a feared pass rusher for the Steelers. He has to learn how to shed and close out to become a better edge sealer, but he can find the ball carrier rb or QB. He comes from Charlotte another small school, but he played big vs big-time schools, always a key when drafting small school players. Because
Some big time players go to small time football college programs. And some small time players get over rated coming from big time football college programs.
Bottom line Alex Highsmith is going to be a all pro great draft pick.

  27. Perry Ellis on June 25, 2020 at 11:49 pm

Og Kevin Dotson ..when I saw his film he immediately reminds me of Alan Faneca a nasty pancake blocker who doesn’t just open holes he breaks them to the next level!!! He has a nasty attitude which means he is the type of guy you want protecting your QB and RB. He is not as stiff as some may think as a pass blocker. He has great strength and size. He will start as a rookie because he is a NFL ready player, also he will be a all pro, but because of Pouncey and Decastro he may get over looked. He will be the starting left gaurd for the Steelers as a rookie.
    His nickname should be
"the can opener" because he can and will open holes.

My analysis is, this was a shitshow. We needed a qb Jalen Hurts fell to us and we pissed all over the chance. Chase Bank isn’t the guy. This was a shitshow. Horrible draft this year. Chase was gonna be there in the 3rd. We needed a QB. We aren’t gonna go 0-16 and get the #1 pick and get Justin Fields. So we’re most likely fucked.

  29. Paul Kersey on June 25, 2020 at 11:52 pm

Of the six only ONE (Claypool) will make any impact. We badly needed a FEATURE RB but instead Tomlin/Colbert FAILED again by drafting a MIDGET.
