Carolina Panthers Free Agency Grade #Panthers #NFL #FreeAgency #Football #Sports #Carolina

It has been the busiest free agency in Carolina Panthers history, but at least the Panthers are adding talent instead of dumping it.

This is really the first time in three years that Carolina has had any activity in free agency, so it is about time we grade their moves.

Big Cat my official free agency grade. B-

  23. Run Cmc on August 21, 2020 at 11:42 pm

I’d give us a C+, I agree with all of them but I’d give pj a B. Ik I’m getting nervous with the corners that are on our roster it might look worse then that 2016 secondary when Julio got 300yds on us 😳

  24. K.IN.G on August 21, 2020 at 11:42 pm

Not a rebuild. Seems like an all out destroy to me🤷🏽‍♂️ let go of too many ppl

  27. Brandon Peters on August 21, 2020 at 11:45 pm

If rhule only has rookie corners against Brady, Brees and Ryan then we better get our popcorn. 🍿

  28. R.U.S.H on August 21, 2020 at 11:46 pm

Big Cat boy you come along way in just over a year’s time and you still the same nigga love you MyG keep doing this shit cause at the end of the day you all we got .

  29. Jeremy Sims on August 21, 2020 at 11:47 pm

Opened up a bunch of cap for next year A+ for that. They will pay CMC and sign a couple big names and prob be top 10 in the draft. Future is bright. I also like the Teddy signing he’s SMART, ACCURATE, and well respected. He already knows the offense for the most part. Protect him and this offense will score a ton of points.

  30. BobbyDigital on August 21, 2020 at 11:47 pm

That’s the same grade I got so you were fair…..

  31. Jon Strickland on August 21, 2020 at 11:49 pm

Whitehead has had over 100 tackles the past 4yrs and lead the Raiders in tackles with 108. How is that not productive?

  32. Jawon Luck on August 21, 2020 at 11:51 pm

I don’t feel right with us signing teddy bridgewater

We had a bunch of old heads that had names but had to go truthfully 🤷🏿‍♂️

  36. Chef 85 on August 21, 2020 at 11:59 pm

We will not regret releasing Colin Jones, D. Williams, Van-Roten, McCoy or Bradberry. Bradberry is a poor man’s Josh Norman at best and is overpaid by the Giants. Allen is a nothing more then a serviceable backup for about two or three games, C. Smith is a depth DE signing at best and S. Weatherly could be another M. Addison type. Speaking of Addison I agree I hate to see him go but like many last year he was lost in a 3-4 scheme that we did not have the personal to run. DE’s S. Weatherly/ Efe, B. Burns will start at DE with C. Smith backing him up. Doubtful we add J. Shread at this point just not enough cap space. J. Miller is a stop gap to replace T. Turner for a year but nothing more. Cooper will help on special teams, S. Roberts is a decent #4 WR would can step up in case anyone goes down and the same w/ K. Kirkwood and Kirkwood like Cooper can return punts and kicks also. Devalve could be decent as well, and Thomas is entering his big year third year in the league. Kerr should be depth but more then likely ends up starting b/c I do not believe we will be taking a DT early. Gallimore DT – OKU second round, TCU DT Blacklock – 3rd/ 4th round, Fotu 5th rounder are all solid prospects. Whitehead is far at best but decent veteran that played with Rhule so I agree with that signing to. Robby Anderson is solid WR and should explode in Carolina w/ Brady’s offensive spread scheme and again Matt Rhule connection helped us again !! Go Panthers !!!

  37. Bravicai on August 22, 2020 at 12:00 am

Our only bright spot will be preseason and our offense

  38. Kingman Highborn on August 22, 2020 at 12:02 am

I hate that we lost Reid, he was still really good against the run, and had leadership abilities. I don’t think Irvin and a few of the others wanted to be here. Bradberry I still say was like Dunta Robinson. Good in coverage, but never great, and he’d never make a interception. Hopefully they can get Action Jackson better at coverage and not lose his ballhawking skills. Drafting a corner is still possible after the 1st round. I’m still banging the war drum for Andrew Thomas at 7 though. Think if we get that o-line up to an acceptable level the offense will be really good. Miller seems good, and Okung if healthy is worth the Trai Turner trade. The defense might struggle, but that can be next year’s focus if this is actually a ‘rebuild’ anyone that says the ‘t’ word around me is still liable to get slapped. Also like the Pharaoh Cooper signing, we need a kick returner BADLY. We still haven’t had a good returner since He Hate Me. I think C- is fair. We treated Cam badly, and couldn’t control what happened to Luke. Olsen is a great guy, and when healthy is 2nd only to Gronk, but he couldn’t stay healthy. I think they’ll give Ian Thomas the chance to be the full time starter. Hopefully after the draft Reid will still be available to come back, but otherwise, we are priorities for the draft now are pass blocking linemen, a DT to put beside Short, a MLB, and a Corner. Considering how the wheels come off last year, that’s not a bad checklist to try and fill, especially after this weird no ‘face to face’ meeting free agency period.

  39. cheeks McGrittles on August 22, 2020 at 12:02 am

Bro, our division has Julio, Michael thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Calvin Ridley, Godwin, and Mike Evans.. our current corners will get smoked.

  40. Stephen Beddard on August 22, 2020 at 12:04 am

Free agency was disappointing. Was hoping we would have made more signings. Happy with the draft though and they added needed pieces on defense. Slightly worried about the O-line though and if little Teddy will have time in the pocket and not be hurried all the time. I’m thinking we may go 7-9 this season with the division we’re in. Maybe the draft class will ball out and help get us more wins
