    C+.
Should have moved up in 4th round instead and gotten the center from Wisconsin…instead??? Dallas makes the move.
Gipson is a good player…but we don’t need him for 3 years?? Dumb move….that move puts u down to C+

All I’ve seen from every "analyst" on the Bears draft is the same. They each follow the same narrative that the Bears should have drafted a QB instead of Kmet, and having 10 TEs on the team at the moment means that Kmet was unnecessary. Yeah, it can be cumbersome to grade all 32 NFL teams, but that’s your job, so don’t follow the stale narrative that someone pointed out almost 2 months ago but doesn’t hold up now. To quote Pete Prisco of CBS, "Second-round pick Cole Kmet is a good player, but they have 100 tight ends on the roster and they’ve addressed it some by signing Jimmy Graham… Kmet is a good player, but was it a need?". First of all, no, Jimmy Graham is NOT the future of this team; the guy’s 33 and out of his prime, but he’s here to train up our future TEs and fill the spot momentarily. Also, the having 10 Tes argument is flawed. Yes, we have 9 TEs (now), but almost all of them suck balls, and the only guys we can count on to not drop the ball and actively contribute are Kmet, Graham, and sometimes Holtz.

Kmet is like getting Mark Bavaro. This was a huge pick.

Kmet is a C pick. Almost a D regardless of if he’s a hall of famer because u had more needs and more higher graded players on the board

  24. Robsay01 on June 22, 2020 at 8:31 pm

Wow. All these Utah football experts in Chicago. Pretty cool huh?

  25. 40Cal Reef on June 22, 2020 at 8:31 pm

Different direction than TE, Burton = traded off, Graham = in the twilight of his career. Kmet is a great pick since there are not really any other TE’s left.
Gipson a D- because they have K. Mack and Quinn. Let’s look at this comment. K. Mack has been in the league like 6 years now and generally players have a 10 year career, is Gipson taking his job? Hell no. Quinn has been in the league for just over 10 years and no one knows when he is calling it. So far you are showing you have no clue to what you’re talking about.

This was a good review in general and a lot of good information, but when you are picking 2nd round, then 5th? Who cares? The chances of this draft helping the Bears significantly is pretty close to zero.

I think Darnell Mooney was a great pick for when we got him. Needed someone to really take the top off the defense and open up the field.

Kmet wasn’t going to be there at 50. Reports came out that the jets and pitt might well have taken him. saw other reports that he wasn’t going to make it past 45. So what the Bears did was realize that they wanted a CB/TE in this round and accurately read the draft board and went TE 43 CB 50. Doesn’t make Kmet a A grade, but it’s probably a solid B, A for Johnson and overall probably an A for the round for correctly reading how the draft was going. Wait they don’t need an edge? Quinn isn’t a long term answer, and they have no player behind them, you say Skrine isn’t a long term solution but ignore Quinn like he is? RG was the biggest problem last year and they have Bars, and 2 FA’s. Massie/Leno’s contracts say they aren’t going anywhere for 2 years, and you have Daniel/Whitehair who aren’t going anywhere. Heard from a Chicago news guy say that Gipson was the last draftable edge player left and loved the pick per a scout he knows. Was a great pick and again Pace was reading the draft accurately.
