I love this. What a wonderful man. A lot of people can give a dog a wonderful home, but can’t swing the shelter fees. I was looking for a smaller dog for one of the elderly ladys at a facility I work at and they were asking for a $350 rehoming fee. (The bigger dogs had less expensive fees. ) I get these places need to bring in money to stay open and provide services for the communities…but it’s also a deterrent to get these animals into loving homes. God bless this man.

This is amazing as a dog owner/lover myself….but I hope the waived adoption fee doesn’t end any of the dogs up in the wrong hands, of sick people that would do bad things to a dog they got for free.

Oh you have my respect, you were my favorite part of the Super Bowl when you did the confetti angel I loved it, it was just so cute everything about it was great. Such a human heartwarming reaction. Thank you very much. But when you donated to the KC pet Project I want you to know it made me cry, if more people in the position to do things like that would follow your example the world will be a much better place. I think you my dogs thank you for bringing attention to this. I am just so overwhelmed with gratitude I really don’t know what I could say or do to let you know God bless you and thank you

This was a really lovely act and I don’t mean to spin this to a negative. I hope those dogs found amazing loving homes. However if someone is thinking of doing this in the future, I would advise NOT to.

The adoption fee is there for a reason. Usually it’s about $150- and that’s a lot less than what a dog is going to cost in the future. The adoption fee ensures that families who adopt have the finances to be able to pay for vetting, food etc etc. A dog is a financial responsibility and more often than not the dogs end up back in the shelter or not being properly cared for.

If you’re wanting to help shelter dogs I would advise donating money to the shelter (to help with food, beds, toys which might make staff have a better time making the quality of life better for the dogs in there) or volunteer your time and make them better dogs for their future owners.

Again, I hope these dogs came to families that loved them a lot and are able to take on the responsibility and that this was just a push that they needed. I still appreciate this act as it was a good deed but I don’t necessarily think it’s the best approach to the problem.

That’s man is very kind and loving to humans and animals. I miss my dog so much and I know he misses me too. I left him behind in the caribbean and came back to America 5 months ago and, every day my heart aches for him😥 I would do anything just to see him and hold him again.
I need someone like this generous guy to help get him to me🙏 am broke, am about to work 2 jobs over night and all just to save up so I can go get my dog, I mean my best friend😍
I’ve had him from since he was 8weeks. Feb 11th will be his 2nd birthday😕😥😭
