Way better foootwork and speed than howard

Look, Jordan Howard had two things going for him… Vision and size… That’s it… A good running back has vision, speed, quickness, elusiveness, balance, and good receiving skills if he wants to be a legitimate three down running back in Today’s modern offense. People want to over react to his first couple of years… I’m sorry, but I thousand yards rushing isn’t a big deal… The standard should be higher. If you average 100 yards per game that should be the standard. Besides, all they did was run the ball and he was lucky enough to have gigantic holes to run through, giant holes that are better at running back could exploit for more yards and more touchdowns. I don’t understand this sentimentality with him anyway, all I care about is the Bears getting better and by keeping Jordan Howard they’re not getting better.

Howard not an against the grain runner. Davis is, and I think it’s the reason he is preferred in this system.

  4. Steve Hines on March 6, 2020 at 9:22 pm

    We should draft devine ozigbo

Panthers just signed him, wow ! We don’t need him !!

For the first time in NFL history there will be 3 running backs with all purpose yards of 1K. Go Bears! Let me explain. Extremely Fast WR’s. A running quarterback with good accuracy. A multipurpose TE and Blocking TE with good hands. All RB’s can catch. Spells every down and keeping the opposing defense honest with no double teams. They will take a traditional WestCoast Offense and beat you every down man to man. Impossible to zone a offense like the Bears. I’m encouraging to watch each players individual talents. The sad thing is you will not be able to keep all the players on the same roster next year because of the salary cap. I might sound like a bias fan but they only lost 4 games. That is an incredible turnaround from 2017-18. Also they gotten 75% better on offense.

  8. common diversity on March 6, 2020 at 9:29 pm

How many weapons can an offense have?

I Like The Addition Of Davis

  11. Eric Stutzman on March 6, 2020 at 9:30 pm

The situation with Howard is reminiscent of Greg Olsen. Didn’t "fit the system" so they threw him to the wolves. How’d that turn out for both parties involved though?

  12. Chad G. on March 6, 2020 at 9:35 pm

He is not better than Jordan Howard

  13. bigwheat3000 on March 6, 2020 at 9:35 pm

    He’s replacing Mizzell

  14. Brent Habegger on March 6, 2020 at 9:36 pm

This video didn’t age well. Three carried in Chi city

  15. Tom Naum on March 6, 2020 at 9:38 pm

If Davis is such an improvement over Howard, why was the Seattle backfield a complete disaster for most of the previous season? He had his opportunity and I never heard his name. Howard on the other hand, never did get his touches the past season. Made no sense running Cohen on the goalline.

  16. VVVs on March 6, 2020 at 9:38 pm

These are big pick ups we getting and it’s gonna go unnoticed until the season but Mike Davis gives us a big RB that is pretty shifty. To me he’s a upgrade just because he’s gonna be a lot more versatile and useful on all 3 downs. No disrespect to Howard tho at all!

  17. Adam Wicks on March 6, 2020 at 9:39 pm

He will be a solid 3rd down and Goal Line back for Chicago. Decent hands too will help him with earning playing time in Nagys system

  18. Kevin Torres on March 6, 2020 at 9:41 pm

He can catch the ball as running a route for a TD? hell yeah Jordan Howard couldn’t catch for his life

  19. Jesus Christ Son on March 6, 2020 at 9:41 pm

    Welcome to Carolina

  20. steve hammond on March 6, 2020 at 9:42 pm

This guy looks good when he plays against the Cardinals but there’s no way he is as good as Howard. Davis is NOT a starting running back and I suspect he has been brought in to replace Mizzell and Cunningham. I read somewhere that Howard has been the third most productive back in the NFL the last three years. No way we should give up Howard for nothing until one more season or at least until we draft another good back.

I’m guessing (or at least hoping) that the Bears are too smart to get rid of Howard until next year system or no.

  21. The B-Team Airsoft on March 6, 2020 at 9:43 pm

What does this mean for Mizzel and Cunningham tho?

  22. Mai Coxmall on March 6, 2020 at 9:47 pm

This video makes mike Davis an average player a beast

  23. Boy Gapo on March 6, 2020 at 9:48 pm

Not going to lie, watched a lot of his tape and I’m a bit unimpressed. He usually goes down on first contact, if he does break a tackle he seems to lose balance easy, he’s not all that fast but his jukes are okay. Personally I’d rather go with Howard’s upside, maybe a move like this motivates him, and hope he can return to his old form prior to last year.

  24. WNX PIGPEN on March 6, 2020 at 9:51 pm

I am going to miss him. His cuts are filthy.

  25. Rei Sen on March 6, 2020 at 9:52 pm

    He gone lol

  26. B Rus on March 6, 2020 at 9:53 pm

They ain’t even using Davis. Can we have him back already?

  27. MRS M on March 6, 2020 at 9:53 pm

So what does this mean for JH? Is it going to be a three back rotation?

  28. THE Taylor Throne on March 6, 2020 at 9:53 pm

WHY DIDNT WE PICK UP TEVIN COLEMAN

  31. freddy trinidad on March 6, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Man! WTF is wrong with all of you? We are falling into the Chip Kelly trap of thinking. "I’m just going to get rid of all my great players who don’t fit my system and bring in a bunch of mediocre players who do fit my system". How did that work out for him? Remember when the Bears got rid of Greg Olsen, cause he didn’t "fit" Mike Martz’s system? That trade came back to haunt us big time when he became a beloved and productive player for Carolina and went on to have a great career. Our TE’s ever since Greg Olsen left have absolutely sucked, with the exception of maybe Martellus Bennet.

Jordan Howard pretty much has carried this team through thick and thin especially during the horrible John Fox era having shitty players and shitty quarterbacks around him and has put up productive top 5 RB years. The level of disrespect Jordan Howard has received from Bears fans and management alike is appalling. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for calling yourself Bears fans.

"Well but Jordan Howard only had 940 yards this year"- AND? The reason this has been his "worst" year is because he didn’t get enough touches. That’s not on him, that’s on Matt Nagy for not utilizing him right and not giving him enough touches. To have 940 yards rushing with very limited touches is actually quite impressive. Don’t give me this crap that he "doesn’t fit our system". A good coach finds a way for great players to get incorporated into his system, not the other way around. A bad coach makes excuses and gets rid of great players because he doesn’t want to the "hard" part of incorporating his players into his system.

  32. OlMikeLaaawry on March 6, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Who here after panthers picked him up

  33. deprogrammer on March 6, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Most definitely an upgrade from Jordan Howard, but not the answer, they still need to draft more explosive and dynamic running back like Justice Hill, Miles Sanders, Rodney Anderson, Damien Harris or Bruce Anderson

  34. steve hammond on March 6, 2020 at 9:59 pm

The "music" (if that’s what you call it) SUCKS on this video.

  35. Jack Coolidge on March 6, 2020 at 10:00 pm

That left chin strap is kinda annoying me

  36. p 28 on March 6, 2020 at 10:01 pm

Howard needs blocking to be on point. He has little east west.
And our run blocking wasn’t good.
    Plus JH isn’t a receiver.
Time for a change in this system.
Teams knew when we were running and passing.

  37. First name Paris on March 6, 2020 at 10:01 pm

    He’s perfect

  38. Viscardi26 on March 6, 2020 at 10:02 pm

He’s like Howard but got speed, and looks like Mack a little bit

  39. Michael Scirrotto Jr on March 6, 2020 at 10:03 pm

The Bears are now “cursed” with being a good team with tight cap space. They will not be able to afford both Howard and Cohen beyond this year. They will most likely trade Howard for “something” rather then lose him for “nothing” after this season. I Doubt the future “workhorse” is even on the roster at this point…Davis is perfect for in this offense so awesome filler signing

  40. Astr0z on March 6, 2020 at 10:04 pm

@Chicago Bears, y’all need to post the name of the song used, if available, PLEASE!

  41. ragnarocking on March 6, 2020 at 10:06 pm

looks a lot more agile (and w/good vision) than I had expected. It’s kind of hard to believe that he’s basically going to be the 3rd string RB on the Bears.

  42. pantherfan 4055 on March 6, 2020 at 10:06 pm

    Panthers

  43. BEARS REDZONE on March 6, 2020 at 10:07 pm

Hopefully he can do a good job as a backup

  44. RISKY GEE on March 6, 2020 at 10:07 pm

    He’s kinda slow tho

  45. Eusebio Teliz on March 6, 2020 at 10:09 pm

Am I to much of a dreamer thinking Eric Berry would fill a whole Amos left?
I would assume he wouldn’t be to pricey do to his veteran status or who knows maybe Bush will work out… All I know is that I’m ready for September!

  46. A. Alexander on March 6, 2020 at 10:11 pm

A satellite plus back like Davis with a well rounded skill set at a value salary. Shrude move by the bears…Davis is almost like a mix of Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen

  47. Adarius Luckey on March 6, 2020 at 10:11 pm

    Welcome to the Panthers

  48. Eze Cast on March 6, 2020 at 10:12 pm

Bad signing… I really am disappointed.. the stats aren’t good.. he doesn’t look quick or illusive… decent hands but wasting our money on this guy while we paid Howard half was pretty dumb 🤦🏽‍♂️

  49. A. Alexander on March 6, 2020 at 10:13 pm

Silly that Seattle drafted running back in the first round who’s not even better than Mike Davis…. then let Davis leave for nothing I’m from Minnesota and hate the bears…..but mark my words Davis will be the breakout fantasy sleeper of the year
