How the Steelers Have Evolutionized the 3-4 Defensive Line

The Pittsburgh Steelers perhaps have their most talented defensive line in decades. Obviously, a lot to live up to, but the potential is there. Cam Heyward, Javon Hargrave and Stephon Tuitt are the building blocks to this new-aged Steelers defense. However, with how the game has changed over the years, these are not your average defensive lineman for a 3-4 defense.

I may become a defensive player, since it’s obvious that I can’t get the #1 WR respect from the NFL.

They aren’t a 3-4. Yeah sure they line up uin a 3-4, but they do it only 1/3rd of the time. that’s not a 3-4. They run their base D, the 4-3 more than anything else. I am not a fan of it. 2 DL and 2 LBs is why they struggle to get to the QB. A true 4-3 is 4 DL up front

Cam has never had 8 sacks in a year. 😑 What are you talking about?

Does he have the potential to get 8? Yes! Has he? No! Will he ever even reach 8? Maybe!

So dont say "proven to be", when it’s just a flat out lie.
