Miami fans have been saying "tank for tua" for a year and a half now

  2. Charles Jones on June 22, 2020 at 8:58 pm

Keep Minshew, trade Fournette for cap room and get better players. Trade Nick Files too, he’s too expensive.

  3. Ray C on June 22, 2020 at 8:59 pm

The Jaguars would probably be able to trade Foles without too much difficulty if they decide they want to move on from him. For the right team, trading for Foles is really a potentially good upside move at a relatively reasonable cost. Foles can be very good if given time to throw, and any team needing a veteran QB and having a good o-line would likely be interested in him. His contract is not really that expensive compared to those of other recently signed veteran QBs (e.g., Carson Wentz, $132 million for 4 years), and what some others are asking (e.g., Dak Prescott, reportedly asking $40 million per year.) Also, the Jaguars have already paid Foles $30 million this year of the $88 million (with only $50 million guaranted) that is specified under his contract. So Foles must now only definitely be paid the remaining $20 million in guaranteed money that is owed him. If he was traded and failed to play well next year, he could be cut at the end of the year and would not be owed the remaining $38 million specified in his contract. So Foles is a Super Bowl winning QB who would be available for one year for $20 million and probably a late round draft pick. The team trading for him would also have the option of having Foles play for them for an additional one or two years for about $20 million per year. If a team believed Foles could play well for them if given adequate protection, and that team had a good o-line, that team would probably view getting Foles under these terms to be a good deal.

Can we draft a head coach an a defensive coordinator. An a new owner. Khan if you bring back Dave an Marrone your basically telling us the next season will be the same way too pack it up an move out too London. I’ll switch ova too Tampa bay.

  5. Jay Shupp on June 22, 2020 at 9:02 pm

I hope to God, Caldwell and Marrone are gone. I can’t watch another Doug Marrone coached Jaguars team. We’re stuck with Foles next year at least, but I expect Minshew to start in 2020. We need to build the O-Line in the offseason and the interior D-Line. I’d draft Derrick Brown at #6, Tyler Biadasz at #20 and either OT Josh Jones or Trey Adams in round 2. We should get our franchise QB in the 2021 draft.

  6. Donald Wigfield on June 22, 2020 at 9:02 pm

Hell I can’t say his name

  7. Eric Kirkland on June 22, 2020 at 9:03 pm

Minshew has done things noone expected from his draft pick. I’ve watched him take big hits fighting for a 1st down, we’ve seen him drop dimes when needed, and his release time is nuts. If you dont build a team for him he will be a bust and dont forget how many games we lost by 1 score of less with him. Minshew deserves to have the job based on foles entire career….

  8. Cory P. on June 22, 2020 at 9:03 pm

We could draft a QB in round 1 and have some great trade capital if we don’t want to keep him. It would be foolish to pass up another potentially great QB.

  9. Steelers Fan on June 22, 2020 at 9:03 pm

What about Joshua Dobbs I’m a Steelers fan and I was sad to see him get traded very good with us and I was hoping to see him play some with the jags

  10. Steven Young on June 22, 2020 at 9:04 pm

Minshew has pretty much played to the expectations to his draft pick so far. He has had three games where he only completed passes in the 40% range. Against Atlanta, 23rd against the pass, Minshew was 13 of 31 fo 181 yards. That’s not good.

Now, will he get better, who knows? He may or may not. But I think he deserves a shot.

Nick Foles also deserves a shot. His career is not up and down as it may seem if you look into the details of what happened. When Chip Kelly was hired in Philly, Michael Vick was a hot commodity, and the RPO offense was primed for him. And Nick Foles took that job from Michael Vick, and held it until he was injured the next year.

Chip Kelly then gutted the Eagles team the following year. He cut DeSean Jackson and traded LeSean McCoy in their prime and signed Riley Cooper to a long term contract. Who the hell? And then he replaced McCoy with DeMarco Muray and that was a disaster. Foles literally had no one to work with. Foles was then traded to the Rams and played horrible – but who played well under Fisher. That same team 2 wing team that Fisher coached went to the Super Bowl to the next year with the right coach.

At the Eagles, Foles played well again. He’s always played well, with the occasional bad game that every QB has.

But here in Jacksonville, he was given only 3 games to prove himself. How long was Bortles given? How long is Baker Mayfield being given? How long was Jamis Winston given, or Marcus Mariota? I’m thinking more than 3 and a half games.

By the way, those game’s losses were not a result of poor quarterback play.

Right now, the Jacksonville Jaguars is truly in need of new coaches. I was sold on the notion that the Jaguars just needed a good QB and they’d be Super Bowl contenders. Nope. There’s a lot of things wrong with this team.

The question is what now? I do think you can build a team around Foles because he can set the culture of the team, right. One thing that I see about the Jaguars is that they are still fighting. Even when the score is blown, they still fight. That says a lot. Players like him. And don’t be mistaken, he’s the reason why the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

  11. Wesley Kaake on June 22, 2020 at 9:09 pm

Better get rid of Marrone and Caldwell or I’m done with this franchise. We need a new regime, a new vision.

  12. Bryan Graham on June 22, 2020 at 9:11 pm

Would you call Drew Brees undersized?

  13. Clarence Dunn on June 22, 2020 at 9:11 pm

And he had a offensive line

  14. Muddy Waters on June 22, 2020 at 9:12 pm

First pick draft Derrick brown from Auburn and 2nd pick draft best available offensive lineman, than draft multiple linebackers and tight ends

  15. surfing nerd621 on June 22, 2020 at 9:15 pm

Like what you, but yeah QB isn’t the biggest worry here. I have faith in Foles and Minshew. O-line and the secondary are the biggest worry. Then I think we need a better TE, like Austin Hooper who will be a cheap free agent next year. I need to see Foles and Minshew more. and we do need to keep Yannick, I worry because of cap space, and having Josh Allen, Yannick may be gone.

  16. Patrick Long on June 22, 2020 at 9:15 pm

Draft jalen hurts in the second round

  17. Danny Torrance on June 22, 2020 at 9:15 pm

    Agreed

  18. Jacob Mayo on June 22, 2020 at 9:16 pm

My opinion this draft has too many quarterback prospects to go QB with our First pick in the 2020 draft if we could get a mean OG like S. Kennedy from UGA I wouldn’t mind that or maybe Derrick Brown from Auburn I feel like Grant Delpit from Lsu is going to be something serious in the NFL although it would fit a need for us getting a safety as a top 10 pick but I feel like we could get a guy like Jalen Hurts in a steal deal instead of Tua simply because Tua as not gone a whole year without getting hurt even though he has undeniable talent durability is very important in the NFL especially at his position I just think we need to build from the trenches because that’s where we are really getting bullied

  19. Max Foley on June 22, 2020 at 9:20 pm

Can we put into context that Foles only played in 3 and a half games.

  20. Gregory Curtis on June 22, 2020 at 9:22 pm

BREAKING NEWS!!! Marrone will be dismissed following Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts!

  21. Kenaichi Uchiha on June 22, 2020 at 9:22 pm

Real recognize real and Gardner Minshew is looking hella familiar right now. He is the franchise qb

  22. Florida Gator1 on June 22, 2020 at 9:26 pm

The league got the book and more tape on Minshew so he was not going to play well the second go round. Rebuild starting with the lines of scrimmage. Everything else will work out . DJ Chark was the most improved Jag and sign Yannick immediately.

  23. Alejandro Cabrera on June 22, 2020 at 9:27 pm

Is everyone in the comments completely forgetting how trash our tackling was? It’s not just the o line.

  24. Donald Wigfield on June 22, 2020 at 9:29 pm

No minshew is not a franchise QB

  25. john o'leary on June 22, 2020 at 9:30 pm

What’s your favorite type of pizza?

  26. Jim M on June 22, 2020 at 9:31 pm

The Jags need to pull a Belichick and trade some of these number ones for multiple lower round draft choices. Especially with the NFLPA basically coming out and saying not to sign with the Jags. We will need all the draft picks we can get.

  27. Heat Nation on June 22, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Keep Minshew for now, rebuild an offense.

  28. Donald Wigfield on June 22, 2020 at 9:32 pm

    Steelers have a good coach

  29. David Bryan on June 22, 2020 at 9:35 pm

Minshew Mania has invaded Jacksonville & to me it sells tickets. He should be the starter. As for Nick Foles the Jaguars have a tough choice to make. Trade him Release him or Bench him. Trading him will be tricky, releasing him would result in a serious hit in both cap & dead money & Benching him would be the logical option. If he becomes the starter again it’ll be another long road for another losing season. Go Jaguars & DTWD😎🏈

  30. Danny Torrance on June 22, 2020 at 9:36 pm

Fire everybody. We really need to rebuild

  31. Jacob Mayo on June 22, 2020 at 9:38 pm

Honestly if I was Khan I would demand Dave Caldwell to trade the top pick if we could yeld two 1st round picks and a bottom round pick that way if we do fire everybody next year we still have some draft capital to work with

  32. Clarence Dunn on June 22, 2020 at 9:38 pm

They have a offensive line also

  33. Vin Mara on June 22, 2020 at 9:38 pm

    We lost yannick

  34. Wesley Kaake on June 22, 2020 at 9:39 pm

Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes went to perfect situations to make them successful. We don’t have Andy Reid or John Harbaugh as our head coach. You can’t use those players as arguments. Many people passed on Lamar. However, it is rumored Caldwell did want Watson and Coughlin wanted Fournette (doubt it’s true).

  35. Michael Leroy on June 22, 2020 at 9:39 pm

Go with Minshew Foles won an SB so what he doesn’t help if he always is injured send Marrone and Caldwell packing if there’s a bad season in 2020

  36. Deangelo Laws on June 22, 2020 at 9:40 pm

Please don’t draft a QB y’all need a safety cb oline and wr don’t fuck it up

  37. Graylin Ginwright on June 22, 2020 at 9:41 pm

I BELIEVE THAT IBLAKE BORTLES AND NICK FOLKS NEEDED MORE STONGER SUPPORT FROM THE OFFENSIVE. LINE.

  38. Todd C. Baker Jr on June 22, 2020 at 9:41 pm

I think we will draft a WR or LB

  39. A.J. Harris on June 22, 2020 at 9:44 pm

Justin Herbert will be great. Can’t always go with the Big Names. Besides Tua is coming off of hip surgery bro, that’s a big concern. Josh Allen from buffalo is a prime example of blue collar guys who can get it done.

  40. American 46 on June 22, 2020 at 9:46 pm

Damn bro when you said, "if that offensive line can also smash the run game right in the fucking mouth" I felt that!

  41. kyle grant on June 22, 2020 at 9:48 pm

Next year is going to be trash. Draft big guys early. If minshew doesn’t workout, package first round picks next year and get your guy.

  42. Jessica Williams on June 22, 2020 at 9:48 pm

We address the o-line we’ll see better out of both QB’s in my opinion. And a reliable 2nd WR. And a better coaching.

  43. Wesley Kaake on June 22, 2020 at 9:49 pm

I just want a competent regime. If we keep Caldwell/Marrone, Minshew won’t do shit next season and then we will be looking for a guy next draft. I’m not worried about the QB position right now. We need to get competency in the front office and coaching staff.

  44. David Kolb on June 22, 2020 at 9:49 pm

I still can’t believe they we’re this close to potential immortality. Look at them now. I wish I could go back 😔

  45. William Charles on June 22, 2020 at 9:50 pm

Keep Minshew until we have the opportunity to get a more physically suited QB. Clean house from the piss-poor coaching and administrative staff; they’ve proven unfit to do their jobs. Just look at the money squandered and the passed opportunities for a decent QB, not once, but twice. The Jags need to move on with a fresh start because what we have damned sure ain’t working!.

  46. Michael Wilbraham on June 22, 2020 at 9:52 pm

I’d take Tua at 6 in a heartbeat though I think it would require jumping Miami tbh. It does concern me the limitations on Gardner, no doubt hes a great backup at a minimum, but you gotta keep hitting on QB’s when you can. It’s the only way to change the direction of this franchise.

  47. Antonio Rivera on June 22, 2020 at 9:53 pm

I think for next year we ride with Minshew for a year and rebuild our lines with this years draft and if Minshew turns good we use the 21 picks to fill what we need if not we draft a QB that year after we rebuild the tine

  48. Ray Bethel on June 22, 2020 at 9:54 pm

So where would you draft the Quarterback at, I hope not in the Top 10 because top 10 quarterbacks have not been MVP’S, also Rookie Quarterbacks may not get you to a Division Championship Game with the Chance of going to the SUPERBOWL, the BEST thing to do is Keep Doug Marrone, Gardner Minshew and the Air Raid Offense together, Draft the most Needed players on Offense and Defense players or get Ready to make another Disappointment Video at the END of Next Season. Gardner had a Chance to have an above losing record if Tom didn’t force Doug to go back to Nick Foles wit a chance to be in the Playoffs, we Overthink this when we know who and wat the PROBLEM was. I’m not going to Tear the Whole thing up for a Somewhat Rebuild when we’re in the Best Division to get to the Playoffs, that would be STUPID, YOU couldn’t Run my Team, you’re to EMOTIONAL

  49. Electricane on June 22, 2020 at 9:55 pm

Only way I’m down with a QB is if we somehow convince Nick Saban to coach here and draft Tua with him. Otherwise, even if Minshew was bad, we need to focus on building the oline/TE group. Every QB in Jacksonville plays their worst here. Kessler isn’t a good QB but even the Hue Jackson Browns had more around him then we did! Blaine Gabbert looked like a starter for a stretch on the 49ers. With our cap situation next year is probably going to be a rebuilding year anyway. I’m much more comfortable giving Minshew a chance with a better offense around him. If he sucks we have an extra first to trade up for Trevor. If he’s good then we have a starting QB with 2 more years of control under $1M in cap which is dangerous. It simply just makes more logical sense to stick with Minshew next year.

  50. Dan Jackson on June 22, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Foles & a high draft pick to the bears for Trubiski and a late draft pick. Or keep Foles 1 more year & SIGN P.J. WALKER FROM THE XFL!
