Jacksonville Jaguars uniform and uniform color history

If you love the Jacksonville Jaguars and their brief but colorful history, then you’re going to love this terrific two-minute video by NFL Films which chronicles the uniform color history of the Jags franchise. Narrated by Scott Graham, one of the great voices of NFL Films, this video features three uniform history experts: Joe Horrigan who is VP Communications and Exhibits at the Pro Football Hall of Fame where he has worked for more than 35 years; Michael MacCambridge, author of “America’s Game: The Epic Story of How Pro Football Captured A Nation” and many other books as well as editor of the massive “ESPN College Football Encyclopedia”; and Scott Sillcox, sports uniform historian.

If you are a huge Jaguars fan, you might be interested to know that the 4 pieces of original artwork used to create a variety of Jaguars merchandise — the actual hand-painted watercolor paintings — are available for sale at Heritage Sports Art http://www.HeritageSportsArt.com . When you watch this NFL Films video, you will see all 4 of the actual painted uniforms — and you can actually own that original artwork!

I actually like the very plain look of the current Jags but the older ones are nice too. I think they went overly simple because of the criticism from those ugly loud uniforms with the two-tone helmets

Is it just me, or have the Jaguars Teal color changed since their original uniforms and logo. Today, the teal looks darker with a slight shift in hue.

"There not just colors. There style." They said that because they had nothing good to say about the jaguars because the players dont play well. XD

Ugliest helmets in the league, hands down! Even uglier than the Texans!

The Jaguars have a different logo and different jerseys now but I don’t think they changed their colors

With the exception of Tony Boselli, Jax doesn’t have a history or a uniform.

I don’t like that the Jaguars wear black jerseys at home

These commentators always have something nice to say about all these uniform changes from all these teams.  I’d love to see what they have to say about the Jags’ new unis.  They’d be lying if they said they liked them.

I wish you could redo this video because the Jaguars have a different logo and they’ve change their colors a little bit

They need to go back to the classic look they had in 1995 and 1996. Maybe have an alternate black jersey to go with the teal. Start looking like a championship team, and they’ll start playing that way!

I know the Jaguars have a new logo, but are they still using all 4 colors?
