Minnesota Vikings All Time Leading Scorer Accepts Blanket Donation to Cancer Patients

It was an exciting day earlier this week at our Plymouth Clinic when Morrie’s Minnetonka Subaru pulled up with a Subaru full of blankets and messages of hope to donate to our patients as part of the Subaru of America, Inc. Subaru Loves to Care program. Minnesota Oncology has been chosen as a designated donation site by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Minnesota Chapter, the recipient of the blankets. On hand to receive the blankets were oncologist Dr. Paul Zander, oncology nurse Jane Marostica, and their patient, chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) survivor Fred Cox. Fred also happens to be the Minnesota Vikings all-time leading scorer AND the inventor of the Nerf Football. Minnesota Oncology is thankful for this gift to our patients as Subaru spreads love, hope and warmth to cancer patients and their families.
