shouldn’t they be called UDR (undrafted rookies) they never played for any1 in NFL
Love the Bryce huff, L. Jackson and cager pick ups. I hope they can all make the team and play a role
I think cager makes the team! They need that size
Lamar Jackson and Bryce Hall will be on the Jets. They are great corners
Bryce huff is a stud I really view him as a similar level as Zuniga just a little lower of a ceiling. Lamar Jackson is another good pick up and adds to what’s gonna be a really competitive CB room. Guidry reminds of perry Nickerson a little bit, has some slot potential with that speed. Cager is interesting, he’s really stiff and takes a while to get the wheels moving, but u can’t teach size, could be a threat in red zone packages. Campbell is more intriguing to me, he ran 4.35 and with that 6’4 frame he can definitely run those go routes. Interested to see how he develops, could be something there. The DT, OT, and DB pickups are just more dart throws I’m not too crazy about, but again I love bringing in competition, maybe one of these guys show something. The only guy I really think has a shot at making a year 1 impact would be huff on the edge, but all in all some nice depth and development pieces. Love what Joe Douglas is doing!
Great job matt .like you said larmar jackson , bryce huff & lawarence cager look like a candidate to make the team .
Cater was a 5 star recruit in high school. Not a lot of people know but yeah, injuries killed his college career but a 5 star out of high school proves his talent and ability.
Cager is going to start for the Jets at one point. I guarantee that.
I’m still annoyed we did not get another receiver in the draft.
I’ve watched the same tape all y’all have hopefully……no one goes to the HOF out of college,so relax people these are young men who i think have potential….now it’s on the coach.
Can’t wait to see all these dudes in the pre season
Javelin k Guidry benched over 20 reps which was of the highest for cornerbacks. He is blazing fast and very strong.
Just remember folks,it doesn’t matter where you came from,it’s where you end up at……
Maximum roster is 90, cuts need to be made , how many ?
Excellent vid!
I’m just upset that the Jets and Ravens don’t play this year. I would love to hear an announcer say "Lamar Jackson was just intercepted by Lamar Jackson." I think that would be hilarious.
Are the rex ryan jets the best jets of the 2000’s ?
Guidry ran 4.29 but also benched 23 reps, strong
I don’t care about any of DT’s they brought in, hope Huff, Cager and one of the CB’s makes the roster or PS.
I like Cager pick up he will be a special teamer and a 3rd and 5, 3rd and long receiver. Which will open up Crowder in slot and Doctson if he starts. Gudriy will be on Kickoffs and Possibly put returns if not Berrios. I think Jackson makes team he will be 3rd and long slot D.B.he I think he will help us out.
Matt, two things. First, your store links are broken; probably a copy and paste issue because the "Fire Gase" link works well. Second, I would love if you took two seconds to mention which jerseys you are rocking in the video even though we can make assumptions and can tell some of them clearly. Thanks for the great content!
Lawrence cager is gonna make the roster.
Hope one of the WRs makes the roster. Denzel Mims still needs a partner.
Lamar might make the team. I think the senior bowl hurt him. The other corner isn’t going to make it I don’t think. His highlights are letting receivers make the catch then running at them full pelt and hitting them, can’t break up passes, doesn’t have the size to either. Maybe he could be a gunner in special teams, he has the speed but not a CB
Folks stop looking at where these guys were picked or not picked in the draft, film don’t lie…….
Jackson and cager additions are solid hope both make the team and are able to contribute
Thank u!!!
Matt thanks and I do like both wide receiver signings. So one of them should make the team.
Out of our entire draft class, I think Becton and Mims will be instant impact players and have a nice career with us, Braden Mann will be our punter for some time until he cycles out like all punters do, Bryce Hall will develop into a nice NFL corner, and everyone else we’ll forget their names in 2 years.
I sort of like George Campbell. Big and fast. Only problem is he is really old and still raw. He takes like 11 steps to slow down for a hitch. He would mostly be a deep post and go ball guy. No joke reminds me of DK, but with more injuries. Also love Bryce Huff. Besides speed, he’s got power.
are you drunk Javelin was the number one rated cover slot Corner in 2018 what are you talking about he can’t cover
Why r we sighing so many DTs? Is Q Williams not making it?
Lawrence Cager was a really pick up. For no apparent reason I caught a lot of Georgia football over the last 2 years this guy has improved has real potential as a procession type receiver route running still needs work but I think Fromm owes Cager a big thank you for catching a lot of badly thrown passes and he’s a willing blocker
Joe D. might get arrested for stealing in this draft and Huff is the one that’ll probably get him convicted lol! huff is a monster, with the pieces the Jets already have on defense and the potential of the new additions i just thin Huff can and will benefit the most,if you don’t block him…he’s gonna destroy your offense and yes i watch tape.
LOVE Bryce Huff, and with Zuniga if they both develop well that edge is DEATH
I like that you covered who we got, consider doing a show on the best signed UDRs that got away. Huh?.
Shyheim Carter played the STAR position at Bama. A notable player who played STAR is Minkah Fitzpatrick. Hopefully he can develop. You can tell Joe preaches versatility and character. If I were to guess, Jackson, Cager, Huff, Carter, and maybe Hilbers or Guidry. I don’t think we’ll make the playoffs this year, but we’ll have so much cap space next year and if joe can have another draft like this, we’ll make the playoffs
Hi Matt
Wao, how many players does the Jets want to replace? Here is the thing. A. Gase got in trouble in Miami for trying to change the culture and he lost that battle and several sources said the practices in maimi were a mess. Then Gase got into a power battle with McCagna and let face it, we are happy he won. We all in agreement now, McCagna sucks as GM. Then Gase wanted Joe D as GM and now we loving him or do we give that credit to W. Johnson?. It seems Gase and Joe are in the same page and it seems they have a plan. My question is, how much, if any, credit does A. Gase deserves for this draft? And Does these players fit his system? If the Jets offense jump to top 15 next year, could an argument can be made that we were all wrong about Gase?
I think both WRs can make it
Bryce Huff reminds me of John Abraham the speed and Technique he just need to work on his moves Gregg Williams is going to make him a monster in the next couple of years
for you to say "maybe something out of Cager" makes me wonder what you’re reading and watching Matt
Put guidry on the offense.
The Cager/Campbell camp battle is an interesting one.
Cager: more polished, possession-style, much needed RZ threat, with some YAC ability. His big negative is his lack of ST experience.
Campbell: Raw, Burner, would’ve had a bigger break out if it wasn’t for terrible QB play. He is also a ST demon.
Going to be interesting, if both WR show well, who the jets will keep. If im Cager, im asking the staff on all the Kasim Osgood tape they can find. Kasim Osgood was an amazing ST player for the Chargers who also happened to be 6’5".
They need to switch to a 4-3. I’d love to see that
The development process this year will be fun to watch for these guys
The combination of Bryce Huff and Jabari Zuniga should give defensive coordinator Gregg Williams the opportunity to switch to the 43 defense.
Move Lamar Jackson to safety next year.
