I’m a little confused when you said the cards got a bad defense it was the 12th ranked in 2020 and king not got better.

love my vikes.. but i feel they can go 6-11 as easily as they can go 11-6.. ..wouldn’t be surprised either way.. first few weeks will tell

  3. Eduardo Funez on May 20, 2021 at 1:42 am

Their offense is good but we will have to see their defense

  4. Jens Harald Claudius on May 20, 2021 at 1:43 am

Love the vid. I personally think we will beat Chicago in Chicago. We have 11 days between steelers and bears, i think zim will figure something out

9-8 sneak into the wildcard . I think it takes a while for the new pieces on the o line & defense to get on the same page

  8. Johnny Rivera on May 20, 2021 at 1:53 am

The raiders beat Patrick Mahomes and the Saints then they lose to Cam Newton and the Falcons 😂

  9. Stefan Bayoumi on May 20, 2021 at 2:03 am

We could’ve beaten the Bucs if the refs hadn’t screwed us out of virtually every call. Personally, knowing the Vikes, they’ll find a way to lose a game they should’ve easily won, which I assume will be the Panthers game

Very valid observations about the Vikes last season beating the Packers in Lambeau, and an even more understrength team pushing the Bucs. You might add game management errors costing them wins at Seattle and vs Titans, but that misses the main point. When assessing the Vikes you have to forget about last seasons team because literally only 4 of last years week 14-17 defensive starters are still on the roster. The 2020 Vikes D, Secondary, O Line and Special Teams were all rated bottom 5 -10 last season, and have all been overhauled via FA, the draft and injury returns to be legitimate top 10 units in 2021. In comparison to last years 7-9 roster, the 2021 roster should be more like a 10-13 win team.

O Line – added #3 ranked LT Darrisaw, and #2 ranked RG Wyatt Davis to significantly upgrade the glaring O Line weaknesses from last season – Vikes 2020 starters LG Dozier & RG Samia were PFFs worst rated OGs all season.
D Line – has been completely overhauled – none of last years starters are still on the roster. They have all been replaced by pro-bowlers Danielle Hunter (returning from I/R), Pierce (opted out), and priority FA Tomlinson from NYG, who will join 2nd year player DJ Wonnum, who was the 2nd best rookie pass rusher behind Chase Young. FA Stephen Weatherly also returns, with 2020 rookie Willekes (season long I/R), and two rookie DEs Jones and Robinson to fill out a DE rotation group that is likely stronger than last years starters.
CBs – last year we started two inexperienced rookies and a UDFA. This season top ranked rookie CB1 Dantzler is joined by perennial pro-bowler Pat Peterson at CB2, and former Vike & 1st round pick MacKenzie Alexander, completely reversing the experience level.
LBs – Last season starting LB2 Barr missed 14 games on I/R, and LB1 Kendricks missed the last 5, Both are back this year with 2020 4th round pick Dye, 2021 3rd round rookie Surratt, and FA Nick Vigil, a former 3rd rounder.
Special Teams – 2020 Vikes were amongst the worst in the NFL. This season Kick Returner speedsters Smith-Marsette (4.3) and Nwangwu (4.2) will likely start, as well as rookies Surratt, Davidson, Bynum to completely refresh this unit.

9-8 maybe 10-7. All primetime games will be an L and those we think they will lose will be a dog fight win by 3.

  13. Keith on May 20, 2021 at 2:06 am

    We’re going 11-6 or 12-5.

I think Vikings make the playoffs I’m almost certain they can and I’m rooting for Kirk since he was my old QB for Washington. It sucks hearing people say he’s terrible a little.

  15. Wild Pringle on May 20, 2021 at 2:09 am

    That’s weird another game

  16. aaron afre on May 20, 2021 at 2:12 am

Best thing is kirk has a Mon. Nite W under his cap

  17. LOU on May 20, 2021 at 2:13 am

    10-7

  18. Casey James on May 20, 2021 at 2:16 am

The Vikings need to get in on these big trade talks/FA if we’re going to do something, cause team’s like the Chiefs/Buccaneers are double loading into Super Teams😕

  19. Rene & Angie on May 20, 2021 at 2:17 am

I would say that this will be Mike Z’s best year as the Head Coach. I think this will be the best team since 1998. I think will be 14-3 or close to it. We will see.

    Bell 🔔 curve says:
(The usual) 7-9 to 9-7 record.
Anything less or more will be underachieving to overachieving.

  23. Daniel Ulman on May 20, 2021 at 2:25 am

Zimmer has made the playoffs every other year, i think he continues the trend if we don’t see last years level of injuries.

2021 NFC North Rankings at the end of the season:

    2. Bears 9-8
    3. Packers 7-10
    4. Lions 5-12

    Early guess: 8-9

  27. Gee Mac72 on May 20, 2021 at 2:38 am

Vikings have a good roster and should rebound from last season, but being a long time fan, I have to try to tamp down the optimism. Rodgers leaving Green Bay is just way too nice a thing to happen for Minnesota. This is a pretty tough schedule too, so I don’t see them going to the playoffs. Zimmer and Klint Kubiak will be outsmarted almost every week and that run heavy plan they seem to have is going to flop fantastically. I think 7 wins would be impressive for this schedule. But the bright side is Zimmer and likely Cousins will be gone if that is the outcome. They both need to go.
