The Titans could use the Frachise tag on Tannehill, pay Derrick Henry and sign Brady, if the Bean Counters were to try hard enough. In fact Tannehill could probably kept for less than Frachise Tag dough. His career hasn’t been exactly brilliant prior to last season. He’s a sound Backup at Best. There is probably no tremendous line of teams forming seeking his services if Tennessee whiffs.

Tennessee is probably the BEST fit- mike vrabel (former teammate), 2019 rushing title winner (Derrick Henry), former teammate dion lewis, solid OL but Conklin is a free agent, AJ brown going into his 2nd year, humphries at slot (discount welker/edelman/amendola). If he doesn’t go to the Titans he will stay with the patriots.

As a Tennessee fan, Brady and Henry together, and add a few defensive pieces… would be a perfect fit. Tannehil did great but lets say he was still on the Dolphins last year.. they wouldnt have made the playoffs, much less a winning season haha
At the end of the day, this simply comes down to a situation similar to Tebow/Manning with the Denver Broncos years ago. Tebow was a fan favorite and people loved him. I even remember seeing people on FB say that the Broncos didn’t need Manning, they figured out the way to win with Tebow. Manning comes in, Denver sends Tebow out the door and Denver goes 1-1 in the Super Bowl over the following three seasons.
Tannehill had an amazing year last year after replacing Mariota (another guy that Tennessee Titan fans loved and stood by, myself included) and he earned the respect of the fanbase in Tennessee. However, when everything is taken into consideration, this is Tannehill’s one good season amongst a number of previous average seasons in the league. There is very little reason to think Tannehill will continue to play at the same level moving forward and rather think that this past season for him could be an outlier for his career. The Titans are expected to franchise Tannehill if they do keep him for another year either way.
At the end of the day, Brady is a great leader, he and Vrabel are great friends and the people in the building in Tennessee want to keep making the playoffs. Brady gives you a better chance of doing that over Tannehill.
