The Arena Football League is Done

The Arena Football League was an action-packed and exciting league where football was a blast. I hate to see it go.

This is a sad sad day for football and fans of Arena Football!!💔💔

  2. lopaka76 on June 25, 2020 at 11:32 pm

Sorry about the AFL, but glad The Rattlers are in in The IFL. I’m not to familiar with AFL team locations anymore, I’d like to see any viable teams (if not all) move to the IFL and add to their 11 teams. Set up divisions like the NFL.

  3. Julian Garcia on June 25, 2020 at 11:32 pm

    It was coming.

  4. Chris Stonesifer on June 25, 2020 at 11:34 pm

I really enjoyed watching AFL Football, my favorite team was the Los Angeles Kiss. It’s so sad to see this great League close. Maybe Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will bring the LA KISS to the IFL or the NAL

i saw the afl destroyers in their one year back… sucks, hopefully they get in another league

  6. youtuber on June 25, 2020 at 11:38 pm

First the AAF, then the AFL, next up….XFL. Hope Vince can succeed where the other 2 didn’t. Fortunately he has plenty of benjamins.

  7. Jessie Gutierrez on June 25, 2020 at 11:42 pm

This is sad.. I live in Tampa and we had the tampa bay storm for many years, which from what I understand they were the winningest team in league history. I actually attended many games including arena bowl 17. Moving forward, GO BUCS!! GO VIPERS!!

  8. Willie Boyd on June 25, 2020 at 11:42 pm

There are still other indoor leagues. The Indoor Football League, National Arena League, and Champions Indoor Football (the former two of which stream their games on YouTube)
Though I’m worried about some of the teams’ ability to make it what with the COVID shutdown and all (I think all three leagues have cancelled their 2020 seasons)

  9. Rick Boutell on June 25, 2020 at 11:44 pm

This is sad news for me… I was a fan of the Colorado Crush…

  10. SniperGaming HD1 on June 25, 2020 at 11:44 pm

Dallas Vigilantes..I went to one if their games.

  11. Mark Logan on June 25, 2020 at 11:45 pm

They need about $600 MILLION. That would save AFL

  12. Kevron Harris on June 25, 2020 at 11:46 pm

I miss the Nashville Kats 😢😢

  13. Isaiah Battle on June 25, 2020 at 11:47 pm

I’d bring all of the arena football leagues and teams together and just do a 8 man national football league

  14. Card Man on June 25, 2020 at 11:49 pm

Now I miss the AFL. 😢😭

  15. Michael F. Bender on June 25, 2020 at 11:50 pm

    Hope the IFL expands!

  16. Sean Cain on June 25, 2020 at 11:50 pm

I like the AFL and the Dragons were my team but when they left I went for the Soul because they were closer but when the AFL went to 4 teams I stop watching them

  17. Joseph Meyes on June 25, 2020 at 11:50 pm

I felt like the Arena Football League was dead since 2009.

I miss the New Orleans Voodoo

  18. Paul Nguyen on June 25, 2020 at 11:51 pm

We offer our sincere condolences to the teams. May its players go play wherever they go. God bless them all.

  23. Jonathan Guevarra on June 25, 2020 at 11:58 pm

The Arena Football League could have been a 20-team league

  24. tim trout on June 25, 2020 at 11:58 pm

The Philadelphia Soul I am very upset I was a season ticket holder for the first six years of the franchise and support of them throughout the entire run I hope they move to another leg go soul

  25. Citizen Arcane on June 25, 2020 at 11:59 pm

I tweeted out your video. My first Arena Football game was the St. Louis Stamped v. the Milwaukee Mustangs. I was also fortunate to be in Arizona when Hunkie Cooper, Calvin Schexnaeder and Cedric Bonner were playing – lots of fun. Hopefully Jaws will put the Soul into the NAL at least. #boycotttheNFL

  26. Peter Phillips on June 25, 2020 at 11:59 pm

Dope video man thank you AFL RIP!

  28. The EndZone on June 26, 2020 at 12:11 am

So sad to see this incredible league come to end

  29. Kurt Ambrose on June 26, 2020 at 12:11 am

It’s going to be interesting to see what unfolds from here with indoor football. The IFL appears to be on top now. They’ve been steadily expanding and have the most teams, notably the Barnstormers and Rattlers, formerly of the AFL. Meanwhile, the CIF and the NAL are wanting to merge, which would result in a 14 team league that would be larger than the IFL in terms of size. And now that the AFL is gone, we will have to see where the six remaining teams will end up, if they continue to exist at all that is. Indoor football is in a precarious situation, that’s for sure.

Was a fan of arena football since the Philadelphia Soul joined in 2002. I went to many Soul games and love the sport. I was incredibly sad to see it go away after so many great years. It was also hard to see some of my favorite teams, like Dallas Desperados and Chicago Rush fold.
I followed the Arizona Rattlers to the indoor football league. Although the 2020 season has been canceled because of the current pandemic, I look forward to following the game next year.

  31. Ryan Donziger on June 26, 2020 at 12:12 am

No I was so sad when this happened because they were able to succeed for a long time but at least they have other arena leagues

  32. will irv on June 26, 2020 at 12:14 am

    It was ok at best

  33. DolphinsAllDay 1 on June 26, 2020 at 12:14 am

AFL has died before it will come back

  36. GATORS NATION! on June 26, 2020 at 12:16 am

I forgot about this league I never got told about this I think.

  37. Spyke0511 1 on June 26, 2020 at 12:17 am

I loved arena football. It was just hard to find on TV and there were no teams in my area. I was always surprised more people couldn’t get into it.

  38. Shannon Morgan on June 26, 2020 at 12:17 am

I used to be a season ticket holder for the Cleveland gladiators. They went on hiatus, now it looks like no more arena football in Cleveland

  39. erich84502ify on June 26, 2020 at 12:17 am

Also, many indoor leagues failed in the past 10 years

  40. Tigerguy 101 on June 26, 2020 at 12:18 am

Finally. AFL was on the down spiral since 2012

  41. OG Broken Games on June 26, 2020 at 12:18 am

The sharks use to be in the afl too

  42. BigBlue Attack on June 26, 2020 at 12:19 am

Columbus Destroyers may join IFL, also Shock came back to the IFL

  43. Caleb Nwaobia on June 26, 2020 at 12:19 am

More talent from the AAF, AFL for the XFL

  44. John Spence on June 26, 2020 at 12:19 am

The league shutting down broke my heart

  45. ThatBrendonGuy on June 26, 2020 at 12:23 am

I was a big fan but when the teams I liked kept folding and the IFL games became free on YouTube, I must admit I became more interested in the IFL. Sad to see it go, though, it had a great run compared to every other indoor or outdoor start up football league…

  46. The Colt 45 show on June 26, 2020 at 12:23 am

My favorite arena Football league teams were los Angeles avengers then they folded and ive been to couple of there games and also I loved the los Angeles kiss and I’ve been to couple of there games and there playoff game then I moved to San Diego in 2015 and lived for awhile and now I am a San Diego strike force fan so I liked all the southern California teams not the northern ones

  47. NASCAR N Wrasslin on June 26, 2020 at 12:23 am

The monopoly the NFL has had on football killed off this league which is way more fun to watch.

  48. SRMkay on June 26, 2020 at 12:24 am

What’s really sad is the outstanding debt that did them in was like $2 million total

  49. farpointgamingdirect on June 26, 2020 at 12:26 am

I was a founding fan of the Baltimore Brigade. Why in the hell cant the owners take their teams to another league like the NAL?

  50. VINCENT BRUCKNER on June 26, 2020 at 12:28 am

Tommy Grady would be great in the XFL
