The Indianapolis Colts add OFFENSIVE WEAPONS in this year's draft | 2020 NFL Draft | CBS Sports HQ

The Colts started their draft party early, shipping their first-round pick to the 49ers in order to land DeForest Buckner, and they sat tight on Day 1 of the draft rather than make a move to get back into the first round. On Day 2, the Colts got to work finding a wide receiver who I compare to Vincent Jackson (an old Philip Rivers favorite) and a running back who perfectly fits their gap/power scheme. They weren’t done though — Blackmon could ultimately be Malik Hooker’s successor.

This is why I can’t do national media assessments. Hyping the 4th round QB that was drafted to be a potential backup, meanwhile you draft a free safety in the third while not picking up Malik Hooker contract. And not even touching on drafting an everydown back in the second while already having one of the best in the league. Which means another team is going to be paying Mack a lot of money next year, and behind our line, Taylor is going to be the future of our offense. If he stays healthy, he’s going to be a perennial pro-bowler. But no. Let’s just talk about a back up QB…

Colts got Parris Campbell and Michael Pittman for Montez Sweat. Let’s see how that trade pans out for both the Colts and Redskins in a couple years. I think the Colts are going to end up well ahead on this one. If Pittman had played for Alabama LSU or Clemson he would’ve been the 1st or 2nd WR taken, the guy dropped 2 passes his entire freaking career, is 6’4, fast as hell, and has the best hands by far out of all the prospects.

Colts had a great draft! At least one more shot for Rivers to retire with a SB championship. Get it done in Indy, Bro!!

I love most of the picks. Have little question third round pick Julian Blackmon, cause of the ACL.

The Colts are going to be a dynamic force if used properly in the future. Johnathan Taylor and Jacob Eason.
