I am not happy with the last pick at all, we passed on a ton of good players. I think we could have gotten that guy as a UDFA

Nobody counted on them trading back into the 7th round to select BoPete Keyes. Lol

Excellent draft class with extreme upside

  11. Cody Baker on June 28, 2020 at 9:34 pm

That’s why we got rid of Marcus peters look at how he portrayed himself on the field, throwing the flag in the stands. I’d love to still have Marcus peters at corner but the disruptions were bigger than his playing and that’s what I see in willie gay jr. CEH was the best pick overall best receiving back in the draft

  14. The Don on June 28, 2020 at 9:42 pm

"He looks like a big Mike Pennel."
    Bruh he’s 257 pounds………………………..

  15. Donnie Couch on June 28, 2020 at 9:42 pm

Welp they traded back into the draft and got one of my favorite late round corners.

  16. Mohicans on June 28, 2020 at 9:43 pm

With the addition of a playmaking LB this defense goes from good to elite. See what Patrick Willis,Luke Kuehley,Ray Lewis,Brian Urlacher and Bobby Wagner did for their teams after joining them.

  17. DAVID HALL on June 28, 2020 at 9:44 pm

I completely agree with you Mr. D’Arcy, I believe the Chiefs did a Great job with the drafted players and also the UDFA’s – GO CHIEFS!!!

Honestly, I have heard a lot of people say that none of them would be starters, except maybe Hellaire, but
I fully see all but Danna being a starter this season, and hear me out. Williams wasn’t even a 600 yard rusher last year so obviously starting our first round pick over him should be a given. We lost two corners in FA, and our starting slot corner right now is Fenton, a 6th round pick from last year. The question at this point is, is L’jarius a 4th round rookie better than a 6th round sophmore? I’d say yes, but we will see. Then you have Niang, a 3rd round tackle who allowed no sacks in his entire career. If he did not have injury concerns he easily would have been top 50. It has also been shown he can play Guard. I see him being slotted in as the starting guard opposite Tardiff. This would see him taking Nick Allegretti’s spot. I see no reason why a 3rd round rookie who can play guard should not start over a 7th round sophmore. That should be an obvious replacement. Finally our LB’s just are not very good. LB has been the sore spot on the defense for a couple of years now. I see him easily uprooting one of the starting 3 linebackers this year as the starter provided he can continue to refrain from behavioral issues.

Overall I see the first four round players starting and the rest playing some type of occasional backup role.

Loved the draft and loved some of the players coming in from the UDFA. Great job chiefs.. GO CHIEFS!!!

  20. AM Productions on June 28, 2020 at 9:48 pm

I’m happy because the Chiefs signed Lavert hill out of Michigan

  21. Cody Baker on June 28, 2020 at 9:49 pm

Willie Gay jr has potential to be a locker room problem he only started 6 games his junior season and beat up his qb in the locker room I don’t really like this pick honestly. Maybe he will mature with great leadership around him

  22. Gerry Cole on June 28, 2020 at 9:52 pm

Well impo I think just about the whole kingdom is happy with the draft ..

  23. terry sperman on June 28, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Lucas Niang is a replacement for Schwartz who has 1 year left on his contract. Schartz is also the highest paid offensive lineman in the league. By trading Schartz we could keep Chris Jones. If Niang starts in 2020, it won’t be at right tackle, unless we trade Schartz before the season starts. I liked our picks this year. Which RB’s do you guys think will make the cut? I got Damien Williams, Clyde Edwards-Helair, and Darwin Thompson as our top 3 in that order. Clyde has to prove himself to start over Damien Williams.

  24. Troy Bowlds on June 28, 2020 at 9:58 pm

    😂😂😂😂

  25. Bryan S on June 28, 2020 at 9:59 pm

Clyde was a great pick and he is going to do some damage on other teams. Gay was another great pick. Chiefs going to dominate

  26. Tiny on June 28, 2020 at 10:00 pm

you think niang has a good shot to start over schwartz and fish?! tf lol

  27. Richard Compton on June 28, 2020 at 10:02 pm

I wish that the season would start right now so I can see for my self what the draft players will do

  28. odinns child on June 28, 2020 at 10:02 pm

    Picked up 2 udfa already

  29. Brandon Comer on June 28, 2020 at 10:03 pm

my biggest problem with Niang is that he’s a right tackle. I’m assuming they’re going to ask him to play left tackle to eventually replace Fisher, and that’s always a pretty shady proposition since you basically have to relearn how to do everything backwards.

  30. Scott Willis on June 28, 2020 at 10:04 pm

I agree with everything you said

  31. Mark Houseknecht on June 28, 2020 at 10:05 pm

I wasn’t real happy about getting RB in the 1st. But then I watched Peter Schrager’s breakdown of CEH and, WOW! I think Damien Williams and CEH will create such mismatches out in space that teams will not be able to cover up everyone. Love picks 2 & 3 too. Great draft overall.

  32. Harry Mills on June 28, 2020 at 10:05 pm

I’m such a Kool-Aid drinker, I’m even OK with taking RB in the 1st round. Coming off a SB win and built the way they are, and their one weakness being their short game, CEH checks all the boxes, except for long speed, and I kind of like being really good at breaking through the first line of defense and then making everybody chase you down. Then make you play another set of downs. The achilles heel of a quick-strike offense is it puts your defense back out on the field without much time to recover between series. CEH is their best shot at improving their ball-control offense.

As for waiting as long as they did to address what everyone believed were critical needs, maybe the draft class just wasn’t that top-heavy this year. Maybe they liked guys in the later rounds about as much as the top-rated guys on Mel Kiper’s blog. In the case of Danna in the 5th, I can see why he’d go overlooked and be underrated, based on what was around him and how they used him in their scheme in college.

  33. AM Productions on June 28, 2020 at 10:06 pm

There is still so many good undrafted free agents left

  34. Nick-NikkisGROW NNG on June 28, 2020 at 10:06 pm

Niang should of gave up 1 sack and safety but his QB slipped it and got a completion. But still 1 sack.. And he handle bosa and chase young! Look up his tape! In the same game! If not for injury Niang be 1st round pick this year! Would of been a 1st rounder last year if he would of came out! 👏👏 I think we reached on Clyde but like him as a player he single handedly beat Alabama and sabans defense! He is tough! But feel like a corner should of been grabbed. Plenty of good backs this year! And we should grab Darius Anderson RB TCU UDFA and dissappointed when we jumped back in and didbt grab the Derreck Tuszka DE from NDSU! End opinion! Lol let’s go CHIEFS KINGDOM!

  35. Yo Yo on June 28, 2020 at 10:07 pm

why wouldn’t the Chiefs have Niang on their board?
Mike Danna is a 250+lbs. EDGE. He’s not a DT or a run stuffer; how is Pennel a comp?

  36. Chris Trevino on June 28, 2020 at 10:12 pm

    I AGREE !GO K C.

  37. Fun Chiefs on June 28, 2020 at 10:13 pm

  38. Bob on June 28, 2020 at 10:16 pm

    It’s E-Lair not He-Lair

  39. Fun Chiefs on June 28, 2020 at 10:18 pm

    What udfa’s should we sign

  40. Chiefsrule KC on June 28, 2020 at 10:18 pm

Great draft! A couple of the picks( CEH and Niang) I weren’t big fans of until watching tape on them. I didn’t really think we needed an edge rusher because we have Frank Clark- but I see a lot of potential in Mike Danna. Willie Gay Jr is without a doubt my favorite pick. I have no doubt this guy is gonna be competitive enough to get a starting job early. We traded our 2021 sixth rounder to get CB out of Tulane- Takarius Keyes in the 7th round. Brett Veach shows again why he’s an extremely great GM. Looking forward to these guys showing up and playing this season and beyond!!

  41. Oliver Emsick on June 28, 2020 at 10:18 pm

He failed his chem test by cheating and punched his about get it right or don’t come at all. Come correct , still a good player but check your facts kiddo. The 32nd pick they shoulda traded back if they didn’t wanna waste value like they did. Rbs go on day 3 only

  42. Jasper Churchill on June 28, 2020 at 10:19 pm

I was speechless when the chiefs drafted Willie gay jr and I think he has such a ceiling and a perfect draft…for…de…. CHIEFS
