The ONE Vikings Offensive Line Problem No One is Talking About πππ
The Minnesota Vikings offensive line is trending in the right direction, but there will be a roster space crunch in the near future and the Vikes will likely have to expose some young talent to waivers.

Elflein should of been cut before the season started.. and one can do better then him smh.. i don’t get it. How come he’s on the roster still
Rick please donβt cut udoh
They have some cap they could spend, the just seem to be stubborn about making some of these guys work even when it doesn’t seem beneficial to team success as a whole. Reiff, Elflein, and Dozier/Collins should be thanking their lucky stars that the Vikings have used Covid as an excuse to not replace them when none of them are really starting caliber and while Reiff is average at best his contract is one of the largest on the team.
The 9 I keep are
Reiff Cleveland Bradbury Elf OβNeill
Dozier Hill Udoh Samia
Try to get Hinton and Brandel on the PS
Another year of Reiff at LT ππ
So, what makes elflein a lock????????
Itβs funny how so many people were saying Brandel and Hinton were going to be the next guys up….theyβll be lucky to get sent to the practice squad
Surprised to see you having Collins as the locks i like him but i was thinking that lean towards a cut if we want to keep some of the new guys but will be so happy if he makes the roster
Why is Elflein a lock?
Elf is useful because he can also play a serviceable backup center as needed
Reiff needs to be replaced sooner than later. We suck at both OG spots yet failed to address it in FA or the draft…
I think we have to at least keep udoh on practice squad just because he can stand up to mack when we play the bears
Still think Collins isn’t going to make the roster let alone be a starter in this league.
Elflein is worthless!! Just like Xavier Rhodes, they should have both left town on the same bus!!
sorry hill jones and brandel
Is it the fact that our GM has only hit on one offensive line draft pick in almost a decade of being in charge of player personnel (excluding Bradbury/Cleveland who are TBD).
Iβm sick of Hill can we cut him yet? ( Iβd be isnβt going to start or not have the ability to play that good please cut )
How I miss the Williams Wall and Phil Loadholt
Digressing from everything … I am truly shocked that Elflein is on the team LET ALONE STARTING. For me, he torpedoed our LAST TWO SEASONS. WORST GUARD IN THE NFL. It’s hard for me to comprehend, other than he can play backup Center in a pinch should Bradbury go down.
I wager to bet Hill is released and they keep Hinton. #SmokeAndMirrors
Great morning letβs chat about Ravens releasing Earl Thomas today what you think about it?
Also, all teams are in the same boat as far as having rookies that are hard for outsiders to evaluate.. I really doubt many teams will snap up 7th round picks from other teams (off the PS) as they have a bunch of young talent in the same boat (ie hard to evaluate and no practice games) I agree Udoh would be snapped up right away as there is legit game tape
If they can’t take Elflein’s job they’re just not that good.At least not at this point.
Everyone is talking about the OL. Especially the interior. Elf is trash and needed to go last year!
Good analysis. I would put Collins in the "likely locks" and Brandel and Samia on the bubble, then the group of locks goes to 6 and likely lock to 2 then pick your 2 from there (Jones,Hinton, Brandel, Lacina, Hinton). If the team believes in the upside of the 1-2 year players then it should not be an issue to let some experience go, thus try to seek a trade like last year. If you can’ trade them, then exposing these experienced players to waivers is less risky. Since this is a weird offseason, going with experience this season maybe the strategy and risk loosing young talent, no big deal we have 12 picks next year. I am not sure how the protected 4 players on the practice squad works, but that may be worth considering. Finally, when considering cuts, the Vikings have to consider who they keep must be able to fill in now in case of alien invasion. So who are our 2 tackle ready to go backups? That tells me we try to get Brandel on the (Protected) PR. The guard cut may have to be Collins (if he can’t be traded), he has had his run, if he gets picked up, so be it, move on. This is all about getting guys starter ready in two years.
